This f*cked my computer, i couldn't see anything else but black. I had to do a system restore, because if i used your method of cleaning it, i would lose my themes.

After the download completed, ESET NOD32 Antivirus 8 block the file
It says "Threat: a variant of Win32/InstallCore.RO potentially unwanted application"
WTF dude?

I'm having trouble getting this to work on one of my computers. I get the following error:

Unhandled exception blah blah... Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\dwm.exe' is denied.

Windows 7 x64, I have ownership of dwm.exe and uDWM.dll, and running the program as administrator doesn't change anything.

okay, but still calling it hiding the blur isnt entirely correct, if you ask me, but okay, if it's such a problem. it's too bad.
simply coz it doesnt *only* hide the blur, but everything else with it

Well then I'll let you know how this works. In a beta build of Windows 7, the DWM files had an option to hide the blur (only hide/show the blur, nothing else). What this app does is overwrite your existing DWM files with those beta files enabling the option to hide the blur. So now I can't do anything about the color or transparency or opacity unless I'm willing to invest time in making a DWM hook like bigmuscle did.

well I wasnt sure since your last reply was seriously stupid. and I DID try that tool as well.
please put a window of text bind a shard of glass (you know what I mean) and give me the correct setting where you have a behavior similar to this
imgur.com/gzT0rxe
regardless of the fact that it isnt Win7 nor a window, but the taskbar, but I just had that shou available.
also by the way I am not stupid, I am an Apprentice for a IT specialist or whatever we could call that in english, so I do know my things and have searched and tried more than enough, but half of the internet seem to confuse blur with
a) 100% transparency (not plainly wrong but a bit too far in the right direction) (btw you say you made the app but you made it exactly like this mistake)
b) the glass streaks (so plain wrong it's not funny anymore)
Edit1
BTW if you know the Win8 Aero ( glass8.eu by bigmuscle from MSFN ) you can also get the desired thing in there, looks reall good in combination wirh a win7 theme.
Edit2
also here a screenshot how it should look in Win7 (shot taken from my way too close to win7 looking win8.) imgur.com/tTCTpC2

no, no, no, no, no!
sorry I dont want to insult you (many ppl in the internet seem to use the word blur incorrectly) but you do know what blur is, isnt it?
to explain it sortly: blur is the effect what basically happens like when you take an image out of focus

your program does get rid of the blur, yes but it also takes a way the color. I just want to shut off that blur but keep the color, so you have the color over anything behind the taskbar, but the text is still clear, similarly to the windows 8 taskbar.
